ACTIVATIONS

What is an activation?

An activation is an activity in which we go out onto the campus or into the community (malls,beaches, plazas) and share the gospel, words of encouragement, and love with people. We believe that as disciples of Christ, we are commissioned to do so. This certainly won't be a "typical" evangelistic experience in that no one will be hit in the head with a bible or condemned. We're not into cringe. We are into the raw power and love of Jesus. If you are interested in participating but are hesitating because you are new to the idea, have no fear! Below are some important things to know.

• No inexperienced student will be left alone to evangelize by themselves. You will be paired with an experienced student leader who will guide you in the process. 

• If you are not sure exactly how you personally hear from God, don't worry, you will learn and we'll help!

• If you are shy, and don't like to approach others, don't worry, we will not throw you in water and tell you to learn how to swim.

• IT'S SUPER FUN!!!

TREASURE HUNTS

Like X Marks the spot treasure?

Treasure hunts are activations in a different format. It starts with a short period of prayer. In that prayer time, students will write down "clues" which are really just things that they think God is saying to them about a random person in the vicinity. This person will most likely be a stranger they have never seen before. When we find that person who fits our clues, we share whatever God lays on our heart to tell them in that moment. Cool right?
